Let’s design to the edges for every learner.

Beth Stark

Educator, Inclusive Learning Systems, UDL, Accessibility

Consultant & Professional Learning Specialist

I partner with schools, learning organizations, and institutions worldwide to reduce barriers, build strengths-based systems of support, and design experiences that ignite inclusive inquiry for all learners. Based in Germany, my work brings together UDL, asset-based pedagogies, and the thoughtful integration of technology to create the conditions for real, lasting change for every learner.

My commitment to designing a more inclusive future took root during my early years teaching students who are blind and low vision, and deepened through sixteen years supporting learners at an IB international school, where I served as Secondary School Learning Support Coordinator.

In 2025, I was honoured to receive the CAST UDL Anne Meyer Design Award for my dedication to advancing Universal Design for Learning.

I design professional learning experiences around meaningful choice. Here, I offered a simple one: take time to reflect on your own, or talk through the provocation with colleagues at your table.

Designed for learner variability

No two learners are alike. My work embraces that variability from the start, designing learning environments where every learner can find access, challenge, and belonging. When we design for the edges, we create the conditions for all learners to thrive.

Barriers exist in the design of learning experiences and environments; not in learners. Together, we can identify barriers and unlock learner agency!
